Punters seemed to be confident in the winning chances of Brabanzio and Var’s Elusion who are hot favourites in their respective races this Saturday at the Champ-de-mars racecourse.
Brabanzio won on 990m last time and he will try to confirm on the same distance. Money has been placed on him despite his price of Rs 205 for bet of Rs 100. He is now offered at Rs 170 in race 2.
Var’s Elusion (from 190 to 190) is expected to extend his winning streak to four and remain unbeaten in Mauritius. But he must be cautious as punters have also fancy Liverpool Champ (from 800 to 650) in race 4.
Race 7 will be very interesting with a lot of fluctuations noted in the prices. Canary Island (from 450 to 370) and Ladder Man (from 2000 to 1600) have been backed. The prices of Romanus (from 600 to 700), Star Of Zeus (from 430 to 450), Moonrise Sensation (from 2200 to 2500) and Skip The Red (from 1500 to 2000) have dropped. While Pforzheim remains the favourite (from 350 to 350).
Well Connected (from 500 to 450) and Lead Singer (from 1300 to 1000) are well supported in race 8. And, Do Or Dare (from 400 to 350) is now the favourite in race 3.
