1450m (B56) : He did not finished far from the winner last time and Steam Ahead won this race as a big outsider. Apprentice Abishek Sonaram took him out of the gate well and he sat in third place behind the leaders. Steam Ahead was travelling well and he overtook Bergerac at the 400m mark. He continued his effort and he drew clear easily to win.
