The Affirmative Action Group is launching a petition against the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation. The petition will then be submitted to the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic, the Independent Broadcasting Corporation and the MBC.
Through this petition, Affirmative Action wants to demonstrate its disagreement with the treatment of information that the Catholic Church wants to pass as well as the Censorship, which would have undergone the Christmas message of the Cardinal Maurice Piat.
The petition explains well that the organization disapproves of the fact that no action of the authorities has been undertaken, even if to the outcry, the MBC has diffused the message of the cardinal in full last December 29.
Affirmative Action which underlines that it organized two demonstrations and that it did not obtain satisfaction. Hence its petition. For its grievances have remained unanswered by the authorities.
The group is also not on the same wavelength as the national radio and television on the comments of the current director general of the MBC concerning Marie Madeline.
The petition should be distributed to churches for signature by the faithful before or after Masses. She hopes that her action will be taken seriously by the authorities.
