It’s sometimes hard to accept the loss of a loved one, be it a human or animal life. It was the loss of his kitten that prompted Max to hold this exhibition: “Ma is my 3ᵉ exhibition in Mauritius. It was inspired by the death of my kitten. This disappearance deeply upset me so much that I wanted to drown my sorrow in painting. Out of this sadness, I created 14 paintings depicting sad-looking mothers waiting for their children to return!
The artist is also preparing an animation for the 2ᵉ season of the House of Digital Art scheduled for April 2024: “For the expo, Ma the public will also be able to appreciate 300 drawings that will subsequently be the subject of an animation that will feature in the 2nd season of the House of Digital Arts at Édith – Port-Louis.”
As a reminder, the exhibition and sale will be open to the public free of charge until March 28.
