A 20-year-old woman has been admitted to Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle since Friday evening, September 22. This after she was raped under a tree in a cane field on the same day. She was admitted to the ward where the protocol for victims of sexual abuse has been put in place. Her alleged assailant is still being sought by the police.
The young woman went to the Plaine Magnien police station in the late afternoon of Friday September 22 to report a case of rape. In detail, she recounted the circumstances in which she had been sexually abused. At around 10 a.m. on Friday September 22, she was walking along the main road from Le Bouchon to Des Places. She was going to meet her husband’s boss so that he could inform him that she was ill and take her to hospital.
In her complaint, she explained that while she was walking, she was accosted by an individual on a motorcycle. This man, whom she knew very well, offered to take her to her destination on his motorcycle. She accepted the offer.
However, on her way to Des Places. Her “Good Samaritan” took her under a large tree in a cane field. She was forced to have sex with this man after her underwear was forcibly removed. She says she tried to resist her attacker, but to no avail.
