A most daring robbery was committed at the Save Max supermarket in Quartier Militaire on the evening of Tuesday January 30 and the morning of Wednesday January 31. The thieves broke into the supermarket through a metal curtain at the back. They made off with several bottles of wine, whisky and other very expensive alcoholic beverages, cartons of cigarettes and prepaid cards. The total value was Rs 1,200,000. This supermarket is equipped with surveillance cameras.
A Save Max assistant supervisor reported the theft to the Quartier Militaire police station. The Criminal Investigation Division of Moka, which has been seized of this case, has already viewed the images from the surveillance cameras outside the supermarket and those of Safe City.
