Isabelle is a painter. Her paintings are born exclusively from her fertile imagination. The objective is simple. To propose a stroll in a phantasmagorical, abstract, and colourful universe.
Art is in Isabelle’s blood. Born into a family of artists, she also sings. But it is through painting that she best expresses her emotions and has always done so. That’s how Iza was born – a free-spirited artist: “I’ve always loved painting but not with its techniques. A bit of a rebel with my brushes. And as time went by, I ended up developing my own style and adopting Iza as my brush name.”
A fresh style inspired by her experiences on the west and south coast: “My husband and I love this part of the country. I used to live in Tamarin and Black River. I take a lot of inspiration from these villages and their colours in the creation of my paintings.
This is what has allowed Iza’s work to travel around the world: “I exhibited my paintings at the Trou-aux-Biches hotel from 2015 to 2018. These exhibitions and sales allowed me to take my paintings around the world. My paintings went to Brazil, China, Germany, Switzerland among others. It’s nice to know that we have paintings in all four corners of the world.”
In the near future Iza could see herself exhibiting for a 2nd time as a solo artist: “I had my first solo exhibition in 2017. It was at the Henessy Park Hotel. A second solo exhibition is possible. But before that I need to gather no less than ten paintings if not more.”
