Inspector Jaylall Boojhawon, who turns 53 on Tuesday, March 15, has applied to retire from the police force. He supported his application based on his long years of service. It was in February that Jaylall Boojhawoon, who is the current president of one of the two police unions, the Police Officers Solidarity Union (Posu), made his application to the office of the Commissioner of Police.
The police headquarters at Central Barracks has sent a message to all police divisions, units and departments to report any case in which this police inspector is involved to the Human Resource Division and the Police Executive Services by Thursday, March 3. Otherwise, it will be assumed that there is no ongoing investigation or charges against the applicant.
Inspector Boojhawon is currently assigned to the Southern Division Prosecution Office.
