Special Blend is the best of the lot in Saturday’s main race. But he will face a tough opposition with Free To Win Lunafacation who are two excellent competitors.
Special Blend did its best in its previous outing, but he lacked extra at the end. The winner, Your Pace Or Mine was at his best on that day. Special Blend had a great 2023 season with two victories and many places behind cracks such as The Gatekeeper and Walls Of Dubrovnik. He will run over a trip that suits him and he will rely on his strong finish to win.
Lunafacation did its best on the 33rd meeting against Alshibaa. He certainly did well by finishing only 0.45L behind the double winner of the Maiden Cup. Lunafacation is a strong front runner. He will be the main danger, because he will carry only 53.5 kg and he will start from lane 2. He will also reunite with jockey Dinesh Sooful with whom he has won twice this season.
Free To Win won easily on the 40th meeting over 1600m. His trainer decided to take his chance over the 2050m for the first time in his career. He is at his best right now, and he can win if he goes the distance.
Hubble is also a good front runner. He has the plum draw, and he can try to make life difficult for Lunafacation. He can also be dangerous if he is allowed to race freely in front.
Absolutist finished more than 11 L behind the winner on his last outing. He won over 1400m this season but was disappointing afterwards. He is unreliable as he can be right there on a good day, and finish far from the winner as he did last time.
