Beaten in a Group 2 race last time, Blackburn Roc is back in action this Saturday on the 38th day over 1500m for horses with a value of 50+. He will be the horse to beat. But there are many strong challengers with good horses like Trippi’s Express, Nourbese and Captain Flynt.
The Samraj Mahadia-trained horse did not disgrace when he finished fourth at only 0.80 lengths behind the big outsider Fools Gold. Blackburn Roc is at his best and he will carry 3 kg less as he will be ridden by apprentice Ianish Takka. He will rely on his good finish to win.
Winner last time, Trippi’s Express will try to double the tally. He is in great shape, but he will carry the heavy handicap of 61.5kg. But he is not to be ruled out.
Nourbese will be a big runner. He finished second behind Triple Fate Line on his last outing. He showed big improvements in training, and he is back to his best. Nourbese got a nice draw this will help him to have a dream run and he can be back in the winner’s box. We must not forget that the son of Futura and Golden Pathway has class.
Captain Flynt won easily from pillar to post in B51 last time. He is trying his luck in a better category. He will break from draw number one, and he will have every chance to take the lead. He will be hard to catch if no one challenges him in the early stages of the race.
Afdeek is a good finisher. He is still in good shape, and he can finish in the money. Ottoman Empire can be the big surprise of the race. He did well for his come-back finishing fourth. He will be an interesting outsider.
