Trainer Simon Jones will have two runners, Haylor and Hubble, who both stand good chances in the feature race to be run over 1600m this Saturday.
Hubble will be the favourite of the race. He is the first choice of the stable’s jockey Benedict Woodworth. He showed some great gate speed and a good stamina to score his first win over 1850m last time. Being back to 1600m will better suit him.
The only question is to know if he will be able to compete with much better horses as he is going up in class from a win in B51 to a contest in B71?
Hubble showed his best form during the morning gallops at the training. He will break from draw number one and he will carry the bottom weight of 53 kg. He will be a big runner and will be hard to catch if he hits the front and is allowed to set his own pace to the race.
Haylor is in great form with three wins in his last four races. He lost only over 2200m, which was far too much for him. He will have apprentice Nabeel Sheik Batchameah (-4kg) on board. He will be the main danger as he will carry only 56 Kg instead of 60 kg.
Wall Tag will also be ridden an apprentice as Alvino Roy will claim 3 kg. He was narrowly beaten by Haylor last time. He is a genuine performer who will be right there at the finish.
Tsitsikamma Dance is back over a trip where he won this season. He did well over 2200m but he will perform better over the mile. His trainer changed his gears by putting the blinkers on again. He will be a good outsider.
