The Rajcoomar Gujadhur Cup (1365m – B66) will be a target for trainer Ramapatee Gujadhur who will have two runners, Wave and newcomer Al Bragga. They will have to beat Triple Fate Line to win this race.
Triple Fate Line won twice in 2021, but he lost on his last outing finishing third behind Red Mars. He has got one month break and he seemed to be in a better shape at the training. Triple Fate Line run in front or close to the pace, and he will be ridden by Brazilian jockey Ivaldo Santana who has a high strike rated of 31.2 percent. He will be the horse to beat.
Trainer Ramapatee Gujdhur has good chances with Wave and Al Bragga. Wave ran well after a long rest when he finished fourth over the same trip behind Emerald Band. He did very well during his gallop on Tuesday when he proved to be better than Chosen Way. Wave will be a big runner. His stable companion, newcomer Al Bragga, is a three times winner in South Africa. He won only over 1000m and he showed some great speed during his workouts. He will be a good outsider.
Rob Roy won six times over 990m and raced only once over longer in Mauritius. He is the best over 990m, and he might use his speed to take the lead. Rob Roy can win from pillar to post if he is not challenged.
Etched In Blue, who won once this season, will also be a good outsider. He is a strong finisher and he will be suited by the fast pace if there is a battle for the lead with many fast horses in this race.
