The second led of the Sprint Series will be run on Saturday at the Champ-de-mars racecourse. Triple Fate Line will be the horse to beat.
Triple Fate Line is set to claim their first win of the season. The Shyam Hurchund-trained horse had a fabulous 2021 campaign with four wins from five outings. He has not yet won in 2022, but he did not disgrace. He took a good third place behind the untouchable Frosted Gold for his comeback. Then, he finished second to Color My Fate who was too good on the day. He tried hard in his last race trying to win from pillar to post but Padre Pio was the best at the finish.
Triple Fate Line is at the peak, and it will line up on the 1365m which is a perfect trip for him. Jockey André Luiz Da Silva knows him very well and his draw number 2 at the start will be a big advantage. He can race handy behind the leader before finishing strongly.
Lickerio won easily over 1365m last time. He was quick at the start, and he drew clear his rivals in the last 200m. He is in great shape, but he will be facing a tougher opposition. He won five times in Mauritius from start to finish. He will be a hard nut to crack if he can run freely in front again.
Var And Away stands a chance. He won easily in his last race in 2021. He raced well for his comeback in 2022 taking the third place. He will be wearing blinkers again and he will have his say at the finish.
Haylor will be a good outsider. He did not show much since the start of the season, but he is good enough to win in this field.
