Consul Of War is the hot favorite to win the main race which will be held over 1850m this Saturday. Your Pace Or Mine and Tsitsikamma Dance are serous opponents.
Consul Of War kicked-off his season brilliantly. He finished second behind Quatro Five Six on his first outing over 1400m. Then he won easily over 1650m on the seventh meeting with a nice turn of foot in the final straight.
The Preetam Daby-trained horse won over 1850m and 2050m in Mauritius. He is the only one to have won beyond the 1600m at the Champ-de-Mars among the five horses in this race. He is in better physical condition and Brazilian jockey Michel-Platini de Oliveira will have a great opportunity to win a main race.
Your Pace Or Mine can find himself at the front of the race without putting in much effort. He had had a difficult race last time. He needed this first race and he improved his physical condition. He will be a big danger if we let him reduce the pace on the initial part of the race.
Tsitsikamma Dance finished his race very well on the 9th meeting finishing sixth at 4L of Walls Of Dubrovnik. He showed big progress during his last gallops in training. He won twice over 1600m in Mauritius, and he ran in the money over 1850m, 2050m and 2100m.
Prospector and Backpacker did not show much on their first two outings of 2022. They will need to perform at their best to upset the odds.
