The distances for the first 12 meetings are known. The sprinters who will be in the spotlight with no less than 66 races reserved for them.
The first 1600m class will be run on meeting 6 and it will be a race reserved for Benchmark 46 horses. The first 1850m will be run on meeting 10 for Benchmark 31 horses.
Six Group races scheduled. The inaugural day will begin with The Noble Salute Cup (G.3). The Duchess Of York Cup (G.2) will be held on the 4th meeting. The Barbé Cup (G.1) will be raced on July 10.
The closed-door system is still in place
After a partial closure during the 2020 season and a full closure last year, the 2022 season will also start behind closed doors on Saturday, April 23. A decision of the High Level Committee on Covid-19, chaired by the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth.
