The racing stewards of the Horse Racing Division (HRD) held an inquiry this Wednesday on the running of horse High Voltage in his race of June 18.
Amar Sewdyal has been charged under Regulation 73(d) for failing to give proper instructions to his jockey, José Appreciado Da Silva so that High Voltage could have the best place at the finish of his race.
Trainer Amar Sewdyal was first fined Rs 15,000. If he is found guilty under the same rule for the next 12 months, his license will be suspended for a period of 30 days. Amar Sewdyak pleaded not guilty.
The jockey José Appreciado Da Silva was suspended for eight race meetings for the same race on June 29.
