The airmass over the region is very moist and unstable which is very conducive for the formation of active clouds over the island.
Cloud development are expected in the afternoon to the South, Southeast and over the Central Plateau with localised showers.
The showers may be heavy and thundery at times in the second half of the afternoon and will persist in the evening.
A Heavy Rain Watch is in force in Mauritius.
