Google will rebrand its AI chatbot, Bard, as Gemini Ultra. Users can access Google’s most powerful large language model (LLM) online as well as on Google Play and the App Store.
The base version of the model which is available in more than 40 languages involves the Gemini Pro 1.0 model.
In a blog post, Google said, “Our mission with Bard has always been to give you direct access to our AI models, and Gemini represents our most capable family of models. To reflect this, Bard will now simply be known as Gemini.”
Simultaneously, Google announced the launch of Gemini Advanced, an enhanced chatbot accessible through the $20/month Google One Premium Plan, which grants access to Ultra 1.0. The model is intended to facilitate lengthier conversations while excelling at extremely complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning.
Google is attempting to position the Gemini family of LLMs as its flagship multimodal AI product with the rebranding of Bard as Gemini. Text, voice, and image inputs are among the various input formats supported by the recently released Gemini. It can also produce images because of Google’s Imagen 2 text-to-image model.
