The former Chief Technical Officer (CTO), who had submitted his resignation on last 19 July, has reversed his decision within 15 days. He is now back at Mauritius Telecom and resumes his position as CTO.
After being publicly mentioned, he had submitted his resignation in the wake of the scandals surrounding Sherry Singh’s allegations against the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth. He had stated his reason for resigning as “I am making a choice today to stand by my values and do the right thing. The right thing for me, for my conscience and for the country”.
Girish Guddoye is the author of a report in which he dismisses any suggestion of ‘sniffing’. Girish Guddoye is expected to be questioned by the CCID in this matter.
This return to the MT is unexpected, namely when an exercise of reorganization of responsibilities was done on Tuesday 02 August, and the MT management had already retained Yagianath Rosunee for this position. But the Mauritius Telecom press release signed by the new CEO, Kapil Reesaul, released on Wednesday evening, states that Girish Guddoye is returning to his position as Chief Technical Officer and Yagianath Rosunee is acting Chief Technical Officer.
