Department of Health and Welfare laboratories have completed testing of 1,210 PCR tests as of 6:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
- 22 cases have been detected through ongoing contact tracing exercises. These patients were already admitted to the quarantine center on Day 0.
- 1 case was detected at the COVID-19 Testing Centre of Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital. It is a resident of Camp Diable. This case is under investigation.
- 2 cases were detected following a PCR test in a private facility. These tests were subsequently confirmed by the CHL and epidemiological links established.
1,426 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and 1,087 of them, considered cured, have returned home.
To date, there are 319 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
