The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories performed 3,312 PCR tests yesterday, July 22, 2021. The latest results were obtained late Thursday evening, July 23.
- 1 case was detected in quarantine center on Day 7.
- 1 case was detected in the quarantine center on Day 4.
- 1 case was detected because of routine testing of a health care worker upon reporting to the treatment center.
- 22 cases were detected in COVID-19 Testing Centres.
- 29 cases were detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
The Contact Tracing teams of the Ministry of Health and Welfare also conducted a targeted testing exercise yesterday (July 22, 2021) with residents of a dormitory.
The exercise detected 39 positive cases.
The dormitory is under strict health surveillance and operates as a quarantine center.
All affected residents are vaccinated against COVID-19 and those tested positives are completely asymptomatic.
2,891 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of Thursday afternoon, 1,340 of them were considered cured and able to return home.
To date, the country has 1,529 active cases of COVID-19.
