According to the President of the PTr, who sent his statement to various media outlets, Corexsolar International (Mauritius) Ltd failed to submit the appropriate documents by the terms of its contract with the CEB.
The company was supposed to find suitable land for the development of a solar farm comprising two 30-megawatt photovoltaic installations. However, it has not yet found the land in question.
This prompts the Red MP to say that the PTr was right from the outset to say that the bidder’s proposals were incorrect.
The Assirvaden MP is calling for the file not to be passed on to the Central Electricity Board’s legal department, which he says is not trustworthy. He is also calling for the resignation of Energy Minister Joe Lesjongard.
Patrick Assirvaden is calling for immediate action on the part of the CEB and the government, in particular the launch of a new call for tenders to complete the country’s energy transition project.
