Attorney General Maneesh Gobin had filed a motion in the Supreme Court seeking the quashing of the Private Prosecution brought against him by Vivek Pursun in the Curepipe District Court.
The case will be heard by the Assize Court on 7 August. It should be noted that the PPS Rajanah Dhaliah has also filed a motion calling for the annulment of the Private Prosecution brought against him by Vivek Pursun. Both cases will be heard at the same time.
Chief Justice Rehana Mungly-Gulbul, along with Justices David Chan Kan Cheong and Pravin Harrah, asked on Monday 24 July for the DPP’s office to be joined in the case.
