The chief election commissioner of India, Shri Rajiv Kumar is on an official visit in Mauritius. He attended official function at the Indian High Commission yesterday.
High Commision of India hosted an interactive session for the chief election commissioner of India Shri Rajiv Kumar and his delegation with NRIs and representatives of the Indian community from various sectors in Mauritius. Honorable Chief Election Commissioner also had a separate meeting with the High Commissioner of India Nandini Singla.
Chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar held interactions at Port-Louis with his counterpart in Mauritius Mr Mohammad Irfan Abdool Rahman who was co-lead for ‘Cohort on Election Integrity, led by Election Commission of India They discussed strengthening of MoU on electoral cooperation, capacity building of officials & sharing of best practices between two EMBs.
Chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar exchanged views with Acting President of Mauritius, H.E. Marie Cyril Eddy Boissézon on excellent collaboration and partnership between the Elections Management Bodies and commitment to strengthen it further, in keeping with warm, bonds of friendship India shares with Mauritius.
