On Wednesday, Business Mauritius held its 62nd Annual General Meeting at the Hennessy Park Hotel in Ebène. During the meeting, Anil Currimjee, Managing Director of Currimjee Jeewanjee, was elected Chairman. He replaces Jean-Pierre Dalais.
Business Mauritius members took the opportunity to review the highlights and achievements of the past year and the challenges ahead.
The other members elected to the Board are Madhavi Ramdin-Clark; Jean Li Yuen Fong; Philippe Espitalier-Noël; and Marc Van Beuningen. The board is completed by the presidents of Business Mauritius’ nine partners: Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Association des hôteliers et restaurateurs de l’île Maurice (Ahrim), Association of Mauritian Manufacturers (AMM), Building and Civil Engineering Contractors Association (BACECA), Mauritius Bankers Association (MBA), Mauritius Export Association (MEXA), Insurers Association of Mauritius (IAM), and Outsourcing & Telecommunications Association of Mauritius (OTAM).
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Business Mauritius, Kevin Ramkaloan, pointed out that one of the association’s strengths over the past two years has been the fruitful dialogue between the public and private sectors, which has led to real advances for national development.
Expressing his gratitude and saluting the strategic vision of Jean-Pierre Dalais during this period, he said: “I am sure that Anil Currimjee will lead Business Mauritius in the continuity of our strategic axes, with a new look at the challenges for the business community towards a sustainable and inclusive development of our country”.
