Laurent L’Entêté and Julie Staub will be at the start of the Commonwealth Games triathlon this Friday at 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm respectively.
The men’s triathlon will have 49 participants and will feature some of the biggest names in world triathlon. “This will be a special opportunity for me. I will be able to compete against elite athletes. It will be tough, but it’s a good omen for the African championships in September,” he said.
As for Julie Staub, like Laurent L’Entêté, she will be participating in her first competition at this level.
The Commonwealth Games triathlon is a sprint format, consisting of an 800 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run.
