An undercover operation conducted by elements of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) of the South Division during the day of Monday, August 8 in Beau Vallon, Mahébourg, led to the arrest of Jonathan Emmanuel Nancy, aged 34, for drug trafficking. This exercise allowed to seize in his possession 114 doses of heroin and 3 pieces of adhesive tape that wrapped heroin in a transparent plastic.
It was an undercover operation, conducted by the men of two sergeants of the ADSU of the South to buy drugs, allowed to intercept a car of the brand Mitsubishi of white color. A drug transaction was to be carried out between Jonathan Nancy and these police officers. These policemen, disguised as drug dealers for this operation, had to immediately reveal their real identities before proceeding to the arrest of this resident of Beau-Vallon.
The 114 doses of drugs weighed 9 grams and the 3 wrapped pieces are 3.5 grams. Jonathan Nancy was brought before the court of Mahébourg this Tuesday morning, August 9. He is facing a provisional charge of drug trafficking with intent to sell. He was taken back to the police cell.
