A 21-year-old woman working in the human resources department of a private company was raped three times on the evening of Friday June 7. The Baie du Tombeau resident explained that she was picked up in a car and driven to Roche Bois, where the driver sexually abused her. She says she can identify her attacker.
A policewoman assigned to the Abercrombie police station on Saint Croix reported the rape on behalf of the young woman on the afternoon of Saturday June 8. She recounted that at around 10.30pm on the evening of Friday June 7, an individual living in Roche Bois picked her up in his car and took her to his garage in Roche Bois, where he raped her three times.
She told the policewoman that she could identify the man as well as the address where she was raped in his garage.
The young woman has been admitted to the Dr A.G.Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis, to follow the protocol set up for victims of sexual abuse. She has already been examined by Dr Seeruttun, Police Medical Officer. Samples have been taken for analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Reduit.
