It was only on the afternoon of Thursday, May 11, that an 18-year-old babysitter broke her silence and reported the rape of which she was a victim on January 1, 2023. This crime was committed by a resident of Camp Sipion, Pointe aux Piments by a young man of 20 years. The latter had called her in front of her door before forcing her inside his house where she was raped.
The young woman who works as a baby sitter resides in Curepipe. Her home is in Camp Sipion, Pointe aux Sables. In detail she explained that on Saturday, December 31, 2022 she was at her grandmother’s house in Pointe aux Piments with members of her family. It was for New Year’s Eve. That day she had consumed beer.
On January 1, 2023, around 12:30 a.m., she left for her nephew’s house in Camp Sipion. On her way she had met a local man who was standing in front of her door. The man called her, but when she approached him, he forced her into his house and into his bedroom. After locking the door to her room, this individual sexually abused her. At a certain moment two young people had opened the door of this room and she had taken advantage of it to flee.
This young woman expressed the wish to be examined by a police doctor. The investigation in this case is conducted at the police station of Triolet, the suspect is actively sought.
