On the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day, Autism Mauritius organizes a family fun day on April 1st at its headquarters located at 24 Avenue Berthaud – Quatre-Bornes. Several activities are on the agenda including a musical animation with Mr Love and other artists.
To raise awareness of autism among the general public during one day. This is the objective that Autism Mauritius has set itself through a Family Fun Day: “We invite Mauritians to come and join us from 10am to 4pm at our headquarters in Quatre-Bornes to spend a day raising awareness about autism. Indeed, a stand will be specially set up to provide advice that can help parents and members of the public to better live with an autistic person,” explains Johan Balancy – the school’s director and coordinator of the Autism Assessment and Diagnostic Service in Mauritius.
For the occasion, several activities will be proposed: “It is important to know that the entrance is free. However, all activities such as face-painting, bouncy castles, etc. will be charged. The proceeds will be used to finance our many projects,” says Johan.
A musical animation with Mr Love and other artists is also on the agenda.
