“Avatar: The Way of Water”, Avatar’s sequel, also focuses on Jake Sully, played by actor Sam Worthington and Neytiri, played by actor Zoe Saldaña, as they have become parents and yet again have a task of saving their family from a threat that has taken over Pandora. British film magazine Empire quoted James Cameron as saying, “I don’t want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch [television] for eight hours. “I can almost write this part of the review. ‘The agonizingly long three-hour movie…’ It’s like, give me a fucking break. I’ve watched my kids sit and do five one-hour episodes in a row. Here’s the big social paradigm shift that has to happen: it’s okay to get up and go pee.”
Avatar: The Way of Water is a three-hour-10-minute movie that will release worldwide on December 16 and is expected to be followed by three other releases in 2024, 2026, and 2028.
