Jean-Luc Vilbrim, 41, from Quatre-Bornes, was a well-known figure on the Mauritian middle-distance scene. His grip on cross-country running from 2009 to 2013 was remarkable. At the 2007 Jeux des Iles in Madagascar, he won a silver medal in the marathon. He also took part in several editions of the JIOI (2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019),
In 2014, at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, he ran the marathon in 2’25’39 and finished 14th at the Paris Marathon in 2’24’09.
