After three hours at the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID) at Central Barracks, former national muay thai coach Vimen Sabapati, 39, continued with the exercise of identifying three voices on the soundtrack of his USB stick. The suspect, arrested by the Special Striking Team (SST) at police headquarters for drug trafficking on Wednesday May 3 this year, will be back again this Friday June 23 to continue the exercise. It was in the presence of his lawyer, Me Melany Nagen, that Vimen Sabapati took part in this exercise with investigators from the CCID’s Special Cell. He had filed this same USB key with his affidavit with the Supreme Court. He had referred to the dubious practices allegedly employed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Ashik Jagai’s men during several raids. In CCID circles, it has been suggested that this identification exercise will take several days, as Vimen Sabapati will have to identify, one by one, the voice of each protagonist throughout the conversation on this audio tape. On Friday June 16, he confirmed that he was the author of the tape, and explained its circumstances and location.
