A case of vice was brought to the attention of the Family Protection Brigade of the Eastern Division on Thursday afternoon, February 10. A 9-year-old schoolgirl in grade 4 broke her silence after 2 years to denounce her stepfather who was sexually abusing her regularly when she was only 7 years old. After confiding in one of her aunts on Wednesday, February 9, she decided to file a complaint at the police station. The suspect is wanted by the police.
A policewoman registered the complaint of this girl. The girl, who lives in the coastal village of Trou aux Biches, recounted in the presence of her paternal grandmother how her stepfather sexually abused her during the night when she was only 7 years old. The man, 30 years old and a resident of Palmar, had abused her in a rental house in Trou d’Eau Douce. The girl said she did not remember exactly when, but she told the police officer that she was in pain that day.
Since that day, she was regularly abused in the absence of her mother. She was also sexually abused by her stepfather in a rental house in Belle-Mare, and the last one was in 2021, at her mother’s home in Camp-Ithier.
The little schoolgirl was examined by a medical examiner late Thursday afternoon, February 10. Afterwards, she was admitted to the hospital where the protocol for victims of sexual abuse was put in place.
