The head of the Police Striking Team has filed a complaint against Akil Bissessur. ASP Ashik Jagai feels that the lawyer has made inappropriate comments on Wednesday following the release on bail of Doomila Moheeputh, who did not speak to the press after her release. However, Akil Bissessur has made to the press some serious allegations against policemen who allegedly said and did unacceptable things. For ASP Ashik Jagai, all this is unacceptable, and thus filed a complaint for incitement to racial hatred yesterday afternoon at the CCID.
Akil Bissessur who is facing a provisional charge of drug trafficking with his partner Doomila Moheeputh, had made serious allegations that the drugs found had been planted at his girlfriend’s home by the Special Striking Team.
