On Monday afternoon, April 8, he asked the 60-year-old woman for Rs 500 to buy a dose of drugs, and shortly afterwards returned to ask for more money. When his mother refused, the thirty-year-old began to insult her, before slapping her on the left shoulder. Although the resident of the CHA, Triolet housing estate was not injured, she said she felt pain in the area. Her son was arrested and placed in a cell at the Piton detention center.
On the evening of Monday April 8, the 60-year-old woman went to the Triolet police station to report a case of domestic violence against her son. In her complaint, she began by describing the history of her relationship with her son. The latter, she explained, had been caught up in drug hell for five years. Now a drug addict, he demands money from her at any moment to be able to afford his fix, and when she refuses, he becomes violent and starts insulting her.
For the umpteenth time, in the late afternoon of Monday April 8, at around 5.30 p.m., her son asked her for Rs 500, which she gave him. A little later, he came back to ask for more money.
