A 31-year-old woman lost her life in a traffic accident that occurred this Monday afternoon, May 23, on the highway of Pailles. She and the driver were on the asphalt after the motorcycle on which they were traveling skidded. Seriously injured, the thirty-year-old, who works as a cashier at the Lolo supermarket in Valentina, did not survive her injuries.
It is 15 hours 45 this Monday, May 23. A motorcycle was driving on the highway of Pailles near the Kia Motors showroom in the direction of Port-Louis. At one point, the driver, a 29-year-old supervisor and resident of Pailles, lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle skidded and the driver and his female passenger, who lives in La Caverne, Vacoas, ended up on the asphalt. Injured, they were evacuated to the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital in Port-Louis.
The thirty-year-old did not survive her injuries. Injured, the driver of the motorcycle was admitted to the ward. The body of the victim was transferred to the morgue of Dr. Jeetoo Hospital for autopsy, which was performed by Dr. Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer.
An investigation has been initiated at the Pailles Police Station to find out the exact circumstances of this accident.
