As the holiday season approaches, albums are being released in droves, especially in the young artist community. Elvinio is one of those neophytes trying to break into the local music scene. The release of the video Ravann ape bate on October 27, already announces the color.
Originally from Agaléga, Brandon Gaël Poulay, whose stage name is Elvinio, has been making music since he was a child: “In Agaléga I sang in a choir. When I arrived in Mauritius in 2007, I joined the choir of Baie du Tombeau where I live now.
Very quickly, the young man began to compose: “I composed my first song at 17 years. And beyond that I never stopped.
Two singles will follow in particular in 2019 and 2020: “In 2019, I released Avek or, then the year before I released another single called Les mo amen twa.”
With these experiences, the artist returns this year with Viv mo zistwar – an album of 10 tracks: “The album is available in record stores since October 5. It is an opus that brings together different styles of music. For its composition I was inspired by several things, especially my life in Agaléga. The song Ravann ape bate, whose clip can be seen on YouTube, is a nod to my native island.
