Nourbese was the hot favourite of the day. The Ricky Maingard trained horse won his second race easily. Nourbese showed some good initial pace and he raced close to the leaders. South African jockey Piere Corne Orffer waited for the final straight to make his move. Nourbese produced a nice turn of foot to hit the front easily and the race was over 75m from the finish. Nourbese was ridden hands and heels. The best is yet to come from that horse who will be hard to beat on his next outing.

Midnight Messenger took full advantage of his good draw to find a perfect position behind the leader, Dunzie. Apprentice Nabil Sheik Batchameah took the right decision to race close to the mare. Midnight Messenger proved to be the better in the last 200m, and he overtook Dunzie winning his second race of the season.

Memphis Mafia had a dream run on the fence behind the leaders Flowerscape and Lickerio. Piere Corne Offer waited for the last 400m to put the pressure on his horse. Lickerio, who had a tough race on the outside, fought on gamely. But, he was beaten by Memphis Mafia who was better on the day.

Bold Phoenix from pillar to post
He was the only front runner of the race and he won it easily. Bold Phoenix took the lead and the Malaysian jockey Bennedict Woodworth settled him nicely in front. Bold Phoenix was too good on the day as he drew clear his rivals easily in the final winning by 4L in front of Swagger Jagger.

Trained by Ramapatee Gujadhur, Yankeedoodledandy was the quickest out of the gates. Mauritian jockey Sunil Bussunt took the right decision to settle his horse letting Travelin Man and Al Jazeera made their moves to take the lead. Yankeedoodledandy finished strongly overtaking Travelin Man in the final straight. He won in front of Jacalac who made a strong late run.
