Several anonymous phone calls came into the Bel Air Rivière Sèche police station in the early evening of Friday November 3, reporting a man with multiple injuries in the EDC housing estate, Olivia. A team of police officers went to the site and found a 21-year-old Montagne Blanche resident bleeding from several parts of his body.
Around 6 p.m., several telephone calls were received at the Bel Air Rivière Sèche police station. According to the callers, an individual was lying on the ground in Cité Olivia, bleeding all over his body. The man had been injured in an altercation. When police arrived, he had already been taken to hospital by volunteers.
The victim, who was unconscious, was in the Hôpital du Nord for treatment. His condition is considered serious. The police were unable to establish the circumstances in which the young man was injured.
After undergoing a CT scan, the injured man was admitted to the ward of the Dr Bruno Cheong hospital in Flacq.
