The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories performed 2,419 PCR tests on Monday, July 05, 2021. The results were obtained late in the evening.
- 17 cases were detected in COVID-19 Testing Centers of the Department of Health and Welfare. Epidemiological links of 9 of these cases have already been established and 8 are still under investigation.
- 11 cases have been detected because of ongoing contact tracing exercises.
1,377 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,078 of them, considered cured, have been able to return home. To date, there are 279 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
