The Beau-Bassin-Rose-Hill municipal council was due to meet on Wednesday to officially appoint and swear in Leyvin Swamy Bulramaya. He would replace Alain Letenderie, a former MSM councillor whose seat was declared vacant after he announced that he was joining the Reform Party. At 2.30 pm this Wednesday, Bulramaya was to be sworn in. Except that Alain Letenderie contests the vacancy of his seat. He says he has not resigned from the council. He was supposed to file a request for an injunction on Wednesday to have the day’s session cancelled. However, the meeting was cancelled in the morning. This was announced by the town hall in a statement issued this morning.
