As part of the 122nd anniversary of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam’s birth, Navin Ramgoolam was present for a wreath laying ceremony at the SSR Samadhi at Pamplemousses Gardens. The former Prime Minister spoke about the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the former President, Ameenah Gurib Fakim. “The report is damning to the MSM, not damning to Mrs Fakim as the Prime Minister would have us believe. It asks who defended Ms Fakim when I said certain things. Now it’s backfiring on him,” Navin Ramgoolam said.

Asked about the resignation of one of its members, Ezra Jhuboo, yesterday, he explained that during a party renewal there will always be problems.
