Electoral petition in Constituency 15: Judges order Master and Registrar to take possession of box containing counting sheets and ballot paper counted forms for inspection.
This follows a request by Senior Counsel Anwar Moolan, who represents the Electoral Supervisory Commission, yesterday. He made the request after informing the court that the body recognized certain anomalies in the counting sheets used during the count.
Mr. Moolan asked the court to have the Master and Registrar take possession of the gray box containing the counting sheets and the ballot paper counted forms.
Justice Benjamin Marie Joseph and Justice Ratna Seetohul-Toolsee granted the request. It was requested that the Master and Registrar take possession of the grey box in question. After that, the documents can be inspected by all parties involved in the case. This must be done before August 15.
Recall that in his election petition, Cader Sayed Hossen is requesting a recount between Gilbert Bablee and himself.
