Bad start for Club M in the COSAFA Cup 2022 which is currently being played in South Africa. The teammates of Kevin Jean-Louis lost on the score of 0-3 against Eswatini. In the other match of this group Lesotho beat Malawi 2-1. Mauritius is thus in the last place of group B.
Club M conceded the first goal in the 8th minute of play on a penalty converted by Lindo Mkhonta. Thereafter, Damien Balisson and consorts made resistance in defense but they cracked at the end of the game with goals by Fanelo Mamba (76th) and Sabelo Ndzinisa (85th).
In Group A, Angola beat Comoros 3-1 while Botswana beat Seychelles 0-1.
Club M’s next game is scheduled for Friday, July 8 against Lesotho.
