The main race of Saturday will be run over 1850m. Pforzheim stands a good chance as he will carry only 50 kg. It will be a big advantage for this strong finisher.
Pforzheim was beaten by only 0.20L last time. He jockey, the Brazilian Ivaldo Santana, was overconfident and raced his far at the back of the field. Pforzheim finished strongly but he could not catch Paddingtons Luck. He is going up in class and he will carry only 50 kg as he will be ridden by apprentice Abishek Sonaram. Pforzheim is at his best and he will have a golden chance to bounce back.
Tsitsikamma Dance is the best horse of the field with the highest Merit Rating. He did a nice grass gallop with Frosted Gold two weeks ago. Frosted Gold won the Gold Cup last Sunday. Tsitsikamma Dance is in great shape, and he did not disgraced finishing third behind Hubble in B71. He will be a hard nut to crack despite his top weight.
Lunafacation won his last two races. He is a good front runner who showed some guts over 2050m last time. He was overtaken by Absolutist 50m from the line, but he fought back gamely to win. He had a break, and he will be hard to beat if he can hit the front.
The Ramapatee Gujadhur-trained horse, Hellofaride has shown progress during his last race. He finished fourth not far from the winner Nourbese. The 1850m will be better for him, as he won over 1800m in South Africa. He might get the dream run of the race breaking from gate number four.
Paddingtons Luck, who won four races this season, will try to win from pillar to post again. He will be a good outsider.
