Television’s most prestigious award, the Emmy Awards took place this year in Los Angeles on Monday. Succession, Beef and The Bear won most awards. Succession’s three actors Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfadyen bagged the prize as the show won best drama series.
Critically acclaimed drama Succession ended last year after completing four seasons. It won several awards like best drama series, best writing, directing among others.
The award ceremony also saw Sir Elton John winning his first Emmy and getting EGOT status. That makes him one of the many to join the EGOT Club-all those who won all the major awards like Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.
Dramedy, The Bear, took home three acting awards, one for its lead Jeremy Allen White, and two for its supporting actors Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
