45 years old, Oumesh Bhayraw will have to undergo 30 years of penal servitude. He has been found guilty of manslaughter this week before the Court of Assizes. Bhayraw has admitted before Judge Mohanna Naidoo that he has stabbed his wife, Anjeenee Bhayraw in 2018 following their argument. He said that he feared that Anjeenee was leaving him for another man.
The homicide happened at Plaine Verte. In fact, the couple had been separated but then reconciled some time after but things were not that smooth. Bhayraw apologised for his acts but Judge Naidoo insisted that for such a heinous crime, there would be no leniency.
