Urban dance fans, get ready for the 2nd Bouzé Festival. This time, things get more complicated with the presence of the best dancers from the Indian Ocean: “The next edition of the Bouzé Festival will feature dancers from La Réunion, Mayotte, Madagascar, Seychelles and the Comoros. We are currently negotiating for Rodrigues to be part of the festival too,” explains Kenjee Kennedy – from the organizing committee.
For the occasion, dancers will have the opportunity to compete in three categories: “Hip-hop will be a discipline for girls and boys. Breakdance will be reserved for boys, and Afro Dance for girls only. The concept aims to bring a better representation of girls at the festival.”
In addition to a cheque and trophies, the winners will have the chance to represent their country in international dance competitions: “The winners will be able to take part in competitions abroad, and above all to measure themselves against the best. For example, at the end of the 2ᵉ edition of Bouze Festival, the winners will go to Reunion Island all expenses paid to take part in a competition.”
