Muhammad Nu’maan Hussain Dahoo, 21, met a tragic end inside the Axess car dealership in Pailles. On Tuesday afternoon, December 6, he fell from a scaffold while working for a sub-contractor outside a building. Seriously injured, this young resident of L’Amaury, Rivière du Rempart was transported to the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis to receive treatment. Unfortunately, he did not survive.
It was around 2 pm, this Tuesday December 6 that this accident occurred. Hussain Dahoo was on top of a scaffolding when he fell four meters. An ambulance from the Emergency Medical Service (Samu) was called to the scene of the accident. The victim, who was seriously injured, was bleeding profusely.
Hussain Dahoo was taken to Dr. Jeetoo Hospital by the ambulance personnel. He breathed his last while being treated. His body was transferred to the morgue of this hospital for an autopsy. The autopsy was performed by Sudesh Kumar Gungadin, head of the forensic department of the police, at around 7 p.m. He attributed his death to a skull fracture.
An investigation has been initiated at the Pailles police station to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy. Inspectors from the Ministry of Labor also went to Axess, the person in charge of the painting work was questioned. According to a police source, the scaffolding on which this young worker was found, was intended for indoor work.
The funeral of Hussain Dahoo, took place at 22 hours in the evening of Tuesday, December 6. He was buried in the cemetery of L’Amaury.
